How to Cook Special Roasted Turkey for Thanksgiving

Whenever we talk about celebrating of thanksgiving, we always want to have best and romantic foods on our table, foods such as the special roasted turkey and other foods we love. As what we always said, good foods makes any occasion perfect and celebrating thanksgiving won’t be perfect without having any juicylicious roasted turkey.


Special roasted turkey is everyone’s favorite recipe since it has a very fabulous flavor inside and a crispy outside that makes it qualify as one of the greatest foods that each one of us must not miss. In addition, this delicious roasted turkey recipe has become one of the most favorite meals on a daily basis for most bodybuilders since it is rich in protein that helps for better muscle building.


Well, let’s not waste any time and let’s altogether start cooking!


Special Roasted Turkey for Thanksgiving


Special Roasted Turkey


INGREDIENTS


1 15 pounds of turkey


1 cup of water


3 pieces of chopped carrots


3 cloves of minced garlic


1 stick of butter


Onion powder


3 stalks of chopped celery


2 chopped onions


pepper


salt


Special Roasted Turkey


PREPARATION



  • Pre-heat your oven into 260 Celsius.

  • Remove the giblets and gizzard from the turkeys inside.

  • Clean, rinse and dry the turkeys outside and cavity.

  • Lather the turkey with ½ stick of butter and so as under its skin.

  • Sprinkle with onion powder, salt and pepper over the lathered butter.

  • Rub the seasoning all over the outside part of the turkey’s body.

  • Put all the remaining butter inside the turkey’s cavity.

  • Put 1 chopped onion and 3 cloves of minced garlic. Pour a cup of water on the roasting pan and add the remaining onions, carrots and celery.

  • Roast the turkey for 20 minutes or until it is already golden brown.

  • Reduce the oven temperature to 175 Celsius then continue to roast.

  • Baste turkey every 25 minutes with liquids in the bottom of the pan.

  • Once the thermometer is stuck into thickest part of the bird and the reading is between 70 to 75 degrees Celsius, that’s the indication that the turkey is done.

  • Cooking time usually take 3 hours and a half but make sure to use a thermometer for a better output.

  • Remove the turkey and set for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
