New York Sandwich Roll Recipe, that is what I’m going to make today because I was making some sandwiches yesterday, and guess what? My kids barely even touched it. I was thinking maybe because they got tired of the old sandwich I’m making them every time I prepare them some snacks. So, this made me think that I need to improvise; I need to make something that my kids won’t have to turn down. So, I’m making them some New York Sandwich Roll.

Here are the ingredients for a New York Sandwich Roll Recipe:


1 Loaf of Sliced Bread


175 Grams of Cheese (Cut into Thick Strips)


15-20 Pieces of Sliced Ham (Cut into Half)


1 Egg


1 to 1 ½ Cup of Bread Crumbs


Oil for Frying


What you will need are:


Rolling Pin


Frying Pan or Skillet


Thongs


Paper Towels to Drip Excess Oil

Just follow the easy steps below and pretty sure those sandwiches will be gone in less than a minute.


New York Sandwich - Ham/Cheese/Bread Image1)      Cut off the sided of sliced bread. After that, use the rolling pin to flatten it as thinly as possible.


2)      On top each flattened sliced bread; place the one slice of the ham on the lower portion of the bread. And on top of the ham, place one strip of the cheese.


New York Sandwich Roll Image3)      Roll the bread. (Insert a toothpick in the middle so that the roll won’t get loose). Set Aside.


4)      After you have roll all the bread as well as the ham and cheese together, you then beat the 1 egg in a small bowl. A bowl fit enough to dip the bread.


5)      After dipping the rolled sandwich, roll them in the bread crumbs so as to coat them. Set Aside.


6)      In a frying pan, pour in the oil about an inch deep then begin heating the oil in a medium heat.


7)      Once the oil already heated up, you begin frying the New York sandwich rolls for about a minute and half or until it is golden brown.


New York Sandwich Roll Recipe Photo8)      Be careful not to burn yourself, so it is wise that you should use thongs when frying these sandwich rolls.


9)      Once frying is done, drip excess oil by using some paper towels.


10)   After frying all the sandwich rolls, you can now then cut them into half. I slice them into half diagonally, just so to make it a little bit nicer to look at. You can now then see the ham and cheese inside.


There you have it. Some New York sandwich rolls that your kids will surely love. By the way, you can add in some green leafy veggies if you like. Could be some cabbage or lettuce and also tomatoes, it all depends on you.


Makes 38-40 pieces.
