Keurig K60/K65 Special Edition Single Serve Coffee Maker Review

Keurig K60/K65 Special Edition Single Serve Coffee Maker Review

I got my Keurig K60/K65 for my small home office just a few weeks ago. Let me first give a review with the external look, as you can also see on the images attach. It is very slick and sexy looking to be place in your office kitchen compared to the old Keurig models. So I am very happy on how it looks.

I like that it is not noisy and only just make a sound when you pour a drink in your cup which I barely notice until I decided to do a review of the system. And when it finish pouring the drink, there is no extra drip compared to other machines. I also like that it has a turn off and on setting so I can have it running before I wake up. I also use my travel mug and it fits just by removing the buttom plate.

Cleaning? I personally check if it is easy to clean before buying coffee makers and other appliances. Let me tell, Cleaning the Kearig is really super easy, just wipe down when done and replace the water reservoir as often as you can since the water reservoir is removable.

Ofcourse the best thing about the Keurig is that they have Keurig One Year Warranty. I have like 40 cups per day and it is still going strong.

More User Review :
2 year review, still going strong

I have owned this model now for about 2 years with nothing but joy to report. My unit stays stationary in my kitchen and is moved only to add distilled water about every few days. We brew roughly 2-3 cups a day out of the machine every day. It still functions as it did the day we bought it. After much trial and error we have selected our favorite brands of K-cups and order them in bulk to save on costs. They are even available at some local salvage stores for half the price or more in some cases, which is a win win for us as they really don’t go bad, they are all sealed and purged.

The only 3 issues most people have with any of these systems are slow brew and or half cup brew issues, and watery blends. These are very easy to repair by the user and not an alarm to return the product. I spent about 2 minutes fixing both issues after a quick search online where you can find everything up to video to assist you in the process.

First of all, Please run…

Thai BBQ Pork with Lemon Grass (Mu Yang Takrai)

I have always loved the Thai dishes and today I’m going to share with you one of my favorites and it’s the Thai BBQ Pork with lemon Grass, in which case is popularly known in Thailand as the Mu Yang Takrai. This wonderful and yet easy recipe is so great especially during summer outdoor barbeque party.

What so great about this recipe is that you can alternatively make it with spareribs, chicken pieces and pork chops. The barbecue sauce will also make great for hotdogs, hamburgers and lot more.

Thai BBQ Pork with Lemon Grass

Thai BBQ Pork with Lemon Grass (Mu Yang Takrai) (2)

Ingredients

1 pound pork (cut into bite size)

For the Marinade:

10 tablespoons palm sugar

10 tablespoons fish sauce (nam pla)

5 tablespoons coconut milk

10 tablespoons dark soy sauce

3 tablespoons sesame oil

5 tablespoons whiskey

5 tablespoons shallots sliced thinly (hom daeng)

5 tablespoons minced garlic (kratiem)

1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper (prikthai)

10 tablespoons lemon grass sliced thinly (takrai)

Procedure

  1. In a saucepan, mix the marinade

ingredients except for the coconut milk. Let the marinade simmer under low heat and until the original volume of the marinade is half and let I cool.

  2. Once already cool, you can now then add the coconut milk. Make sure that you combine the coconut milk with the marinade thoroughly.

  3. Use this to marinate the pork meat for about 1 to 3 hours in a cool place. (But you can also marinate this overnight and place it in the chiller).

  4. Drain the meat, then thread the meat onto the skewers. Reserve the marinade.

  5. Once ready, you can now then start to barbecue.

  6. With the use of the remaining marinade, heat until simmer under low-heat stirring occasionally for about 1 to 2 minutes. This will make a great dipping sauce for the barbecue.

Thai BBQ Pork with Lemon Grass (Mu Yang Takrai) (3)

Barbecuing is definitely easy if you have all the ingredients that you need. But the secret ingredient to having the best barbecue is a must. So, definitely, this is one of the best.

I hope you enjoy this Thai BBQ Pork with Lemon Grass (Mu Yang Takrai) along with your family and friends.

Southwestern Pork and Beans Soup Recipe

Today is a good day to share one of my favorites from my mom’s recipe and it is the Southwestern Pork and Beans Soup Recipe. I have always loved this dish of my mom. I just talked over the phone with my mom and talking to her just makes me miss her more.

That is why I’m going to make this Southwestern pork and beans soup recipe to make me feel better. I hope you’ll like it.

Southwestern Pork and Beans Soup

Southwestern Pork and Beans Soup Recipe (1)

INGREDIENTS

1/2 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 12 equal slices

1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

2 cups canned pinto beans, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1/2 small yellow onion, thinly sliced (about 1/4 cup)

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups canned crushed tomatoes

2 tablespoons minced jalapenos

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

1/2 teaspoon salt

Southwestern Pork and Beans Soup Recipe (3)

PREPARATION

  1. With the use of a meat mallet, pound each slice to about 1/8 inch thick of the pork slices. Use a cutting board to do so. Once done, sprinkle pork on both sides with coriander, making sure that you are lightly pressing it to the meat.

  2. In a high heat, heat half of the oil in a large skillet. Once warm enough add the pork slices into the skillet and cook by batches until brown. That would probably take 2 minutes on each side. Do the same with the remaining pork slices and set aside.

  3. Once done, add the remaining oil and heat over medium heat. Sauté the onion until soft for about 5 minutes.

  4. After that, stir in jalapeno pepper, oregano, tomato paste and salt. But make sure you reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook this for about 20 minutes until tomatoes soften and the skillet should be partially covered.

  5. Lastly, toss in back the pork to the skillet and cook until heated through for about 3 to 5 minutes. Cover the skillet to make the cooking a bit faster.

  6. Place in a serving dish and serve immediately.

*You can also add in some of your favorite veggies like carrots and also some sausages.

This recipe will serve up to 4. I hope you like this Southwestern Pork and Beans soup recipe from my mom.

Pork Stew Recipe with Beer

Pork Stew Recipe with Beer (3)

What are the ingredients the pork stew recipe with beer?

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (8 1/4 ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained

1 red serrano chile, minced

2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

  • Add the pork and beer, stir. Heat to boiling and reduce heat. Cover and let it simmer for about 45 minutes. Add the red peeper and stir, heat to boiling and reduce heat.

  • Let the pork simmer until tender, uncovered and until the sauce is thickened for about another 15 minutes.

  • Don’t forget to skim off the fat before you serve with rice.

This will be great and delicious too and I’m sure, your husband, boyfriend and friends will totally love this. I hope you do too.

Pork Recipe with Rosemary and Apples

Here is another one of the best pork recipe, and it is the pork recipe with rosemary and apples. This pork recipe is so delicious; you and your family will truly love it. I just love how the rosemary and apples blended well with the pork. The taste of it is just savory. So, if you are interested and want to try this pork recipe with rosemary and apples, worry no more, for I will share this pork recipe with you today. Check on the ingredients and procedure below:

Pork Recipe with Rosemary and Apples (2)

Pork Recipe with Rosemary and Apples

What are the Ingredients for Pork Recipe with Rosemary and Apples?

3 1/2 pounds pork shoulder roast, room temperature

2 tart apples, peeled and quartered

3 sprigs fresh rosemary

3 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup dry white wine

5 cloves garlic, peeled

Salt and pepper

Here’s how:

  1. First, spread the pork roast with the mustard and roast in the bottom of a 5 liter or larger pressure cooker over a medium heat until brown. Once done, you can now remove the meat and pour out excess fat.

  2. Deglaze the pan with the white wine and make sure to scrape up the brown bits. Then add in the apple, garlic, salt and pepper to taste. You then have to replace the roast on top of the apples and have the rosemary scattered and the close the lid. Bring the pressure to the first red ring over high heat and you just then adjust the heat in order to stabilize at the first red ring.

  3. Cook this for about 30-35 minutes. After that, remove the pressure cooker off the heat and release with natural release method. Open the pressure cooker and test for doneness with 150-160 degrees F using a meat thermometer.

  4. If you see that the roast is not yet done, you might want to close the pressure cooker again and cook it again for a few minutes, about 5 minutes tops. Make sure that the meat test would go about 160 degrees F. The meat of the pork is tastier when it is moist and medium rare.

  5. Once you get the desired tenderness and meat is done, you can now remove the roast.

  6. In a hand mixer, blender or food processors, puree the apples and garlic.

  7. Place the sauce on a small bowl and place a slice of the roast in a plate. Garnish it with fresh rosemary.
