Best Fried Tofu Recipe

Fried Tofu Recipe


Fried Tofu


 


Ingredients


2 Large pieces of firm tofu


A handful of snow peas


4 Large Shiitake mushrooms


1 Cup shredded cabbage


1 Cup shredded carrots


2 Tablespoons cooking oil


Large freezer bag


 


For Marinade


¼ Cup soy sauce


¼ Cup Mirin (cooking rice wine)


2 Tablespoons sesame oil


Shichimi powder (Japanese seven spice powder)


 


 


Procedure



  • Cut the tofu into 2 inch cubes.

  • In a medium bowl, mix the soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil and a dash of shichimi powder.

  • Place tofu and marinade into a freezer bag and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  • Chop snow peas and mushrooms.

  • Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and lightly fry vegetables.

  • Add tofu and marinade to the pan and fry for 2 minutes, or until vegetables are soft.

 Serve and enjoy your delicious fried tufo.
